What should I wear for my portfolio session?
Choose clothing that matches the type of work you're trying to book. Your wardrobe should support you, not compete with you. Simple, well-fitting everyday clothing is usually the best choice. Reserve highly styled wardrobe for editorial or fashion-focused sessions.
Do I need professional hair and makeup?
No. Professional hair and makeup are not required. Simple hairstyling and natural makeup are often the best place to start. In fact, many of the editorial images in my portfolio were created with the model doing their own hair and makeup. If you prefer to have a hair and makeup artist or fashion stylist on set, I can refer you to professionals who can be on-site during your session.
Do you offer boudoir sessions?
Yes. Women’s boudoir, men’s boudoir, and intimate editorial-style portrait sessions are available by inquiry and planned collaboratively around your comfort level, creative direction, and overall vision for your session. Custom-designed premium albums and wall art are also available.
Can you help plan the creative direction for the shoot?
Yes. Sessions are planned collaboratively around your goals, including wardrobe, styling, locations, posing, expression, and overall creative direction. Pinterest inspiration and mood boards are often used during the planning process to help shape the visual direction of the session.
Do I need modeling experience?
Not at all. Sessions are designed to accommodate both experienced talent and those newer to modeling or acting work. Direction is provided throughout the session, including posing, expression, movement, wardrobe, and overall presentation to help create natural and versatile images.
How soon will I recieve my final images?
Images are typically ready for review within a day or two through a private online gallery. Once you've selected your favorites, your final retouched images are usually delivered within a week, and often sooner.
What are digitals?
Digitals are meant to show you as you are. Simple clothing, minimal makeup, clean backgrounds, and little to no retouching allow agencies and clients to see your natural look and proportions.
