Planning and Brand Direction Matter
We’ll talk through how images will be used, the type of audience you’re trying to reach. Some clients are looking for clean professional imagery for websites and LinkedIn, while others want more lifestyle-oriented content that feels approachable, modern, and personal. Sessions may take place on location, in the workplace, outdoors, or in studio depending on the look and message you want to create.

FAQs
answers to your questions
What types of images are typically included in a branding session?
That really depends on what you need the images for. Some clients want polished professional headshots, while others want a broader mix of environmental portraits, workspace imagery, lifestyle-focused content, or images that feel more natural and behind the scenes. Most sessions end up being a combination of several different looks and uses.
Where can branding sessions take place?
Branding sessions can take place at your office, workspace, storefront, outdoors, or another location that fits the overall look and feel you want for the images. Some clients prefer a clean professional environment, while others want something more relaxed, creative, or architectural.
How do we prepare for the session?
We’ll talk through ideas and concepts beforehand so I can better understand what you’re looking for, where the images will be used, and the overall direction you want your branding session to have. We can also discuss wardrobe, locations, examples you like, and anything else that helps shape the session.
What if I have something specific in mind that’s not shown on the website?
Not every type of work I photograph is represented on the website. If you have a specific concept, location, or type of imagery in mind, we can absolutely discuss it during the planning process.
Do you help with posing and direction?
Absolutely. Most people I photograph are not professional models, so I guide clients throughout the session in a way that feels natural and comfortable. The goal is to create images that feel confident, approachable, and authentic to you or your brand.
What is the typical length of a branding session?
That can vary quite a bit depending on the type of images you’re looking to create, the number of locations or outfit changes involved, and how the images will ultimately be used. Some sessions are fairly focused and efficient and may only take a few hours, while others are designed to create a broader library of content with more variety and flexibility and may span most of the day or even multiple days.
Can branding sessions include short-form video content?
Depending on the goals of the project, some branding sessions may also incorporate short-form video clips or motion-focused content designed for websites, social media, or other digital platforms. If that’s something you’re considering, we can discuss it during the planning process.
